This year at the International Swing Dance Championships (ISDC), a plethora of students did their big one—they competed! 🎉
During Year 11 of ISDC, two students brought home trophies, while others brought home serious bragging rights because they left it all on the wood in Las Vegas.
Congratulations to Tracy Ingram-Taylor for earning 2nd Place in the Houston2Step Strictly division alongside Lionel Freeman, and to Monica Boles for earning 3rd Place in the Houston2Step ProAm division with her instructor, Walter McDonald, Jr.
Special shout-outs go to Albert Reese, Sydney Michelle, Nekita Phillips, Venessa Lee, and Estella Rencher for their dedication to Houston2Step. Each of them represented with excellence, heart, and determination throughout the weekend.
A huge congratulations also goes to Chyna Lanae Nichols, who stepped onto the competition floor for her very first ProAm competition with Tracy. Taking that first step is no small feat, and we celebrate her courage and commitment to growth.
We are incredibly proud of every competitor. Whether they brought home a trophy or not, each dancer represented the Houston2Step community with class, confidence, and passion. The future is bright, and this is only the beginning.
